We buy, sell, trade for single pieces or collections of Original Comic Book and Comic Strip Art
Jack Kirby had just come back to Marvel in the issue before this one and this is a continuation of that story which featured the Mad Bombs. Truly one of the most memorable stories from the 70’s from Marvel as Jack was also writing the stories. This rare double spread captures everything that is great about Jack's art: from the horror and panic on the peoples faces to the cosmic impulses emanating from the Mad Bombs. To be honest, I initially considered pricing this at $125,000, as I’ve seen works in that range that this piece surpasses. Ultimately, I felt that keeping it under $100,000 would make the price more approachable for collectors and easier to justify.
