Michael Turner Witchblade Illustration (Very Early)

This piece is very special. Witchblade #1 made its debut in November 1995 and was so popular that Pittsburg Comic Con invited Michael to attend their 1996 show. On a big piece of foam core the show promoter had a number of artists draw the characters they were best known for. Years later, this piece was cut out from the rest of the board in order for it to stand alone as a magnificent, and very early, image of Witchblade. Unfortunately, Michael Turner left us at the very young age of 37, so there is not much of his art available for sale. On a side note I had the pleasure of playing poker and sitting beside him for the night. I remember him being such a gentleman and very gregarious and quite endearing. So it was heartbreaking when I heard the news of his passing.
