The Thing is just hanging in the FF trophy room. When I envision The Thing I see him moping around the Baxter building lamenting his lot in life so to me this splash is a perfect depiction of him. I love all of the FF knick knacks that adorn the trophy room. You even have the Fantasticar hanging from the ceiling.
