The subject matter is what makes this Wrightson oil painting historic. Bernie was friends with Jeff and Louise Jones and gifted them this painting of them. This piece should appeal to the Wrightson fans and the Jeff Jones fans. I’m not sure how many oil paintings Wrightson did but my bet is there were not many. This was done in the prime of his career.
